Anna Schmidt
Artist drawn to light, material & transformation
For more than a decade, LightsFantastic
was at the heart of my artistic practice: discarded lampshades, reimagined as radiant one-of-a-kind objects – playful, surprising, and atmospheric.
In my studio in Soest, I created works that hovered between light art, collage, and object design – each carrying its own character and a subtle touch of irony.
Today, I see these luminous objects as an essential phase of my work – a chapter complete for now, yet still alive. My current artistic focus has shifted toward other forms of expression, which you can discover on my website: www.annaschmidt.art
Art, to me, is transformation. LightsFantastic was my light project. Now, it has become part of my story – and of my artistic cosmos.
