I accepted the boringly respectable original state of this lamp as a particularly exciting challenge: concrete walls acquire life through graffiti, so I simply turned the shade into an advertising hoarding and decorated it with graffiti. When switched off, the lamp displays restrained pastel tints; switched on, it glows with warm joyful light. This lamp produces cones of light above and below, making it an ideal reading-lamp.
