Instead of with sweets, I have filled this oversized sweet-jar with light. The lamp should be placed on a table (or floor), because it is open not only at the top, but also at the bottom and on one side (useful for obsessive nibblers!). The overlap is adjustable, so that the volume of the lamp can be varied. This lamp also looks good with candles instead of lightbulbs.
